My name is Ricky Lewis. I'm a multi-disciplinary artist based in Brooklyn, New York.

I moved to NYC in 2004 to study acting at William Esper Studio under the late Bill Esper. I also completed LAByrinth Theater Company’s Master Class program where I studied acting with Pedro Pascal & Raul Castillo, directing with John Gould Rubin, and playwriting with Cusi Cram, among others.

I joined Actor’s Equity Association in 2008. Some of my favorite theater credits include Maggie Keenan-Bolger’s From The Inside, Out (FringeNYC) and playing Matt in the first NYC revival of Adam Rapp’s Red Light Winter directed by David Newer.

As a singer & songwriter, I’ve released three EPs and one full length record. My songs have been featured by Stereogum, Paste Magazine, Alternative Press, and others. I’ve toured extensively opening for Noah Gundersen, Matthew Logan Vasquez of Delta Spirit, and Matt Pond PA. My songs have over 150,000 streams on Spotify

Expanding my focus to behind the camera, I’m currently a staff director at the production company Entertainment One, a Lionsgate subsidiary. My work can be seen on Max, Netflix, Apple TV, Hulu, Discovery Plus, and A&E.

My first screenplay, We Used to Love This Place, is in pre-production and slated to film in spring 2024.
